What Should You do after GRE Exam?

Congratulations! You are done with GRE and got the required satisfactory scores; you must be thinking, now I can relax. Well, not yet! Ask any abroad education consultant; they will tell you there is a long road ahead after the GRE exam to enter your college choice. There is still major work to be done, and you must keep your documents in place to apply for college admissions. So, we have covered the major things you need to do after the GRE. Keep these things in mind and start working on them to get into the best graduate programs.

1. Decide Your Course and University

Students should select a course based only on their interests. Although you can apply to any course, most students choose a course based on their undergrad track. The only thing that matters is that you should be able to explain why, possibly in your SOP, you want a course distinct from your undergrad program. A study abroad consultant recommends that you start deciding on a course and a university around the third week of September.

2. Letter of Recommendation

Start speaking with the abroad education consultant who will suggest you as soon as the seventh semester of your final year begins. Unless you have a great rapport with the teacher, getting a recommendation isn't as easy as said endearingly. You should develop a good rapport with them and ensure they write favorably about you. It takes a while because you must create numerous rough drafts before finishing the document. To avoid last-minute hiccups, work on this should start the first day and be completed by October last week.

3. Transcripts

Academic transcripts are documents produced by your college and include all of your marks in detail (semester-by-semester, subject-by-subject breakdowns, term work, and viva marks) on a single page. You must periodically stop by your college's office to pick up a sample transcript, fill it out with information on every topic from the first semester to the last, approve it, have it stamped, and seal it.

Work can start as soon as the semester 6 results (for new applicants) are released in September. The required number of copies is approximately 15.

4. Statement of Purpose

This is the central component of your application. The only document that is purportedly required is this one. As you must create numerous rough draughts for a week or ten days, start developing your SOP around the first week of October. You can also ask a study abroad consultant to help you with your SOPs. They have the required professional experience to tell you what you should include in your SOP.

5. Updated Resume

It is a record that lists your accomplishments. Your academic accomplishments, GRE and TOEFL scores, co-curricular and extracurricular activities, a description of your academic projects, and personal information are typically included.

6. Bank Record

This document doesn't require much effort to organise. Speak with your bank manager to obtain certified copies of your bank statement and evidence of your ability to pay your debts. Final papers should be ready by the first week of November if your finances are in order and you've had several meetings with your bank manager to determine the amount with or without a loan. However, it is advised that you start contacting the bank early in October.
